WALL DIALOGUES - 2003

Color Film, 16 x 20 in.

Ashrafieh, Beirut. The streets are quiet. It is finally over. Walking among familiar places, and counting the bullet holes with my fist. Collective memory. Cries of anger crushed against the walls. Christians and Muslims, unable to unite, even in writing. Remains of a Bachir Gemayel portrait silently flying around. Hopscotch. The once-president took his cross to the grave.
