NATURAL DYE

Avocado Pits and Onion Skins

Persea Americana or avocado seeds contain a natural pigment named perseorangin. When crushed and oxidized by air, they release a red-orange color that can be used to dye fabric. Depending on the nature of the fibers, the color ranges from soft pink nuances to deep salmon. Cepa Pellibus or (yellow and red) onion skins contain anthocyanin compounds, which result in beautiful tan shades to darker purple hues.
